About Me
I BEGAN THE PRACTICE OF SOCIAL WORK IN 2021, in community & residential mental health, supporting adults and youth living with severe and persistent mental illness and addiction to navigate housing, healthcare, education & social services, immigration, legal and correctional services. Perhaps most fundamental to my learning has been people's capacity for resilience and the power of connection in dealing with trauma, mental health, and addiction.
MY PRACTICE IN MENTAL HEALTH services has been a dynamic experience, intersecting with first-episode psychosis treatment for youth experiencing homelessness, emergency psychiatry & crisis support, inpatient care, community & residential treatment & housing, and clinical work in primary health care. My practice has included work with children, youth, individuals & families, co-facilitating psychoeducational groups, delivering workshops & educational talks. Each and every one of these experiences has fostered personal & professional growth.
MY CURRENT PRACTICE serves youth and adults. I provide support to clients interested in improving mental & emotional health, navigating life transitions & stressors, expanding skills in coping, assertiveness, parenting, and executive function.
A TRAUMA-INFORMED PRACTICE helps clients explore their trauma, whether developmental, intergenerational, acute or complex from a neurophysiological lens, identifying trauma activation and building healthy self-regulation skills. I work with First Responders looking to develop healthy coping strategies that promote resilience & longevity in their careers.
BEHAVIOURAL & SUBSTANCE ADDICTION TREATMENT is a significant part of my practice. I'm always honoured to be part of the tough road to recovery, meeting clients wherever they're at: sober-curious, wanting to change their use, or working on relapse prevention. With consent, I welcome the opportunity to include loved ones in the process if & where it may be beneficial to the client.

SUPPORT FOR ADHD includes providing clients with a solid understanding of their Executive Functioning, developing strategies for use across domains, building their support system, and viewing their traits through a lens of strength.
ON A PERSONAL NOTE, I am a mom to two very spirited, bright & funny kids and one kind-hearted, witty & talented teen. I have a wonderful partner who manages to turn the impossible into possible, fears into encouragement, and big ideas into reality.
I ALWAYS FIND TIME for reading, podcasts, creating new resources, pup walks, & coffee breaks. Professional development is very important to me and I recently completed Professional Certificates in Trauma & Addictions through WLU. I am excited to be starting training in EMDR this summer!
CREATING A SPACE THAT FEELS COZY & welcoming has been a wonderful part of establishing my practice. My space is a reflection of my clients' suggestions & ideas and I love to change & rearrange things.
